IMU Signs POS Solution Supply Agreement with Orderman

IMU, a Korea-based POS and kiosk specialist, announced on the 19th that it has officially signed an overseas dedicated solution supply agreement with Orderman, a global POS company headquartered in Austria.

The agreement is particularly significant as IMU’s Korean-developed store management software has been selected in the European market, where regulatory and technical standards are among the most stringent in the world. IMU develops its core software and manufactures its hardware entirely in Korea.

IMU is the only Korean company that directly manufactures POS and kiosk hardware while also developing its own integrated global store management platform. With this end-to-end capability, IMU has steadily expanded its presence in international markets.

In Japan, IMU has supplied solutions to major landmarks, including the home stadium of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks (PayPay Dome), the Yokohama Stadium, home of the Yokohama DeNA BayStars, as well as Japan’s largest beauty salon chain, Hair Salon IWASAKI.

Orderman, now IMU’s solution partner, is headquartered in Salzburg, Austria, and is a leading player in the European hospitality ordering market. Founded in 1993, the company launched the world’s first mobile handheld device for the restaurant industry in 1994 and has since set the global standard for mobile ordering. Today, Orderman provides solutions to more than 75,000 locations worldwide.

Through Orderman’s strong distribution network across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States, IMU plans to gradually expand the supply of its integrated platform.

IMU’s solution goes beyond a simple payment system, aiming to become a data-driven integrated store operation platform. The company plans to further develop a “Global Integrated Retail Platform” model by combining payment and operational data with big data services, advertising platforms, and infrastructure-based business models.

Jaeseop Choi, CEO of IMU, commented, “This agreement marks a significant turning point in IMU’s global strategy and will serve as a standard model for our overseas expansion. Leveraging our unique strength in both hardware and software, we aim to build a sustainable growth structure in the global market.”
